Lots of florists can get plumerias, especially from California. They don't have to come from Hawaii which will cost more in postage. Call your local florists and out of the ones that tell you they will have no problems getting plumerias, find at least 3 to have in person consultations with :-) Good luck!
Reply:Honey, for a wedding ANYTHING is possible! Call that guy that's always on Oprah that plans those fancy $$$ costly weddings....
Reply:You live in florida and no one grows them locally? Even if the soil is the wrong type they can be grown in pots!

Check again with other florists they may be trying to rip you off charging you for the air freight?
Reply:I live in Hawaii and of all the flower shops that I've been to... None of the them carry plumerias because they are so abundant (the plumeria trees grow along the roads). Plumerias are very fragile and when damaged they turn brown. (I've made leis to take with me to California). Your best bet might be to actually get plumerias made out of clay (they look real and just as beautiful as the real thing).

BUT if you're dead set on getting real plumerias, try Watanabe Floral. The phone number of the main store is 808-832-9360. The hours of operation are Mon - Sat 6:30 am - 6:30 pm. Watanabe Florals are pretty well known on Oahu for their reasonable prices and wide variety of flowers.
Reply:It's best to go see your local florist, and see what she can do from your end. Florists have contacts, and can usually get ahold of exotic flowers.

I LOVE the scent of plumeria, by the way! Good luck!
Reply:You're going at this the wrong way. Go to the best florist in St. Peterburg and ask them if they can get them for you.
Reply:Congrats on the wedding! To bad you're not in Ca. I have 4 huge Plumeria trees that my Grandmother brought from Hawaii in the 80's and all will be ready to bloom this June. Since my grandmother brought the plants back from Hawaii I don't see any reason you can't have the flowers shipped. Call different florists maybe they can pull some strings. GOOD LUCK!!!!
Reply:you try www.FTD.com yet?
Reply:Check with your florist -- speciality flowers might cost a little more, but they can more than likely import the flowers for you.
Reply:I think they are also grown in southern california. I know ABC stores in hawaii ships fresh flowers...try www.abcstores.com

Have them shipped and then ask a local florist to arrange them.
